Myth. Lit. focuses on Greek and Norse mythology through guided research and popular young adult fiction books (the Percy Jackson and The Sea of Trolls series.) This 21st century online class has two interrelated goals: Motivate students to explore Norse and Greek mythology through reading and research while helping them improve their technology and writing skills. The course focuses on three content sections (Norse Mythology, Greek Mythology, and Comparative Analysis). The completed course, which can be taken pass/fail or for a grade per host school’s authorization, results in a semester of English credit. Since technology is one of the course goals, students must have internet access and a free Google account. Minimum registration: 4 students (they don’t need to be from the same school.)
